affiliate keyword tool

If you’re an affiliate marketer, you’re probably going to want to profit using traffic from the search engines. And that means you’re going to needkeywords. But what’s the best keyword tool for affiliates? Well…, it depends on what you’re after. Below, I’ve broken down the best keyword tools into a few important categories.
I’ve spent over $500,000 on Google PPC, so below me when I say I’ve learned this information the hard way….

#1 Keyword Tools For ClickBank

If you want to profit with ClickBank, the easy way is to skip the keyword research process out entirely, and browse through our own database of affiliate program keywordsAffiliate X Pro users can access over 3,000 pre-researched profitable terms. In case you’re wondering how we come up with the data, we spent over 5 months researching this database alone (and used many of the tools mentioned on this page).

#2 Top Keyword Tool For Accurate Google data

Google is by far the dominant search engine, so its vital you have accurate data about keywords for the site – such as CPC and monthly searches. I’ve spent over $500,000 on Google over the years, across a range of niches – so I have lots of data on many keywords, which I can compare to all the tools out there. And when I compare my own data with everything on the market, SEMRush is the most accurate. It’s often extremely close when it comes to estimate global search volumes and CPC for Google, and the database is constantly expanding.

#3 Finding “buyer keywords”

If you want to find profitable buyer keywords, you’d be wise to start with theMSN Commercial Intent tool, which rates each keyword on how likely the searcher is to be looking to buy something. Meanwhile, Keyword Spy has the biggest database of profitable affiliate campaigns – with more keywords tracked than anyone else. They track pretty much every major affiliate network, from ClickBank to Azoogleads, and so you’re bound to find a profitable affiliate campaign to swipe.
For paid tools, by far the best I’ve come across is when I developed myself – the “PPC Money Finder” inside our “Auto Keyword X” keyword tool suite. You can only get access to this suite by becoming an Affiliate X Pro member.

#4 Expanding keywords “laterally”

If you want to expand your seed keyword into a web of related terms, you have a few  options open to you. Firstly, I’d recommend using Google’s own “wonder wheel” tool – which you can access on the left hand side of the Google search page, along with Google’s own keyword tool (which you now need an Adwords account to access). Finally, you can use the new search engine Now relevant to come up with lateral ideas you might not have thought of. Now, let’s run through all of the top keyword tools out there at the moment.

Overview of all the keyword tools out there

Well, our own affiliate keyword tool is extremely useful, as is the SEMRush keyword tool, which is especially accurate when it comes to estimating Google search data (such as Cost Per Click and searches per month). You can also browse through our own database of affiliate program keywords, and if you’re an Affiliate X Pro member, you’ll see over 3,000 of them – all profitable, with the research already done for you.
If you’re interested in seeing a history of profitable affiliate campaigns over time, you’ll want to check out Keyword Spy, which probably has the best database of keywords tracked (SpyFu is a close runner up). Other keyword tools worth checking out include the Spy Glass tool. Remember to check out our database of profitable affiliate keywords and ClickBank affiliate programs, the ClickBank Hot 100.
